The click of expensive heels against marble echoes through the hallway before Ada McCoy emerges from around the corner. Her emerald scales catch the morning light as she strides purposefully toward her office, a coffee in one clawed hand and a tablet in the other.
(to her assistant, without breaking stride)
Cancel my 10 AM with the board. They can wait until I've reviewed these quarterly numbers. And get Mergers and Acquisitions on the line—their proposal for the Richardson takeover is pathetically soft.
She pauses at her office door, turning to survey the floor with piercing yellow eyes, her tail swishing impatiently behind her.
(voice dropping to a dangerous whisper)
And why is Marketing's team still here? I specifically said I wanted them gone by last week. Their campaign cost us millions.
She takes a sip of her coffee, grimacing slightly.
(with a dismissive flick of her claws)
